All records are stored locally on your device. Ancinere does not sync to a cloud account. You can export a JSON backup from Profile → Export Backup at any time.
Go to the Profile tab and tap Export Backup to save a JSON file. To restore, tap Import Backup and select a previously exported file.
TMDB (The Movie Database) is an optional metadata source. It is used only when you actively choose "TMDB Search" while adding a record, to help pre-fill a title and year. Ancinere does not provide a public movie browsing feed.
Go to Profile → App Lock, turn on the switch, and set a passcode. Ancinere will require your passcode when reopening the App after it has been backgrounded.
Your passcode is stored securely on your device and cannot be recovered by us. If you forget it, you may need to delete and reinstall the App, which will remove local data unless you have an exported backup.
No. Ancinere is a personal watch diary for logging what you've watched. It does not play, stream, or download video content.
Delete individual records from the detail screen, or remove all data by uninstalling the App from your device. Exported backup files on your device or cloud storage are managed by you separately.
